Az üst dob szigorú hangjával kezdődött Liszt Ferenc Magyar Fantázia című zongoraversenye, amelyet a Győri Filharmonikusok adtak elő a Richter teremben tartott főpróbán szerda délután. Játékuknak köszönhetően a zene átjárta az egész termet, és az őket hallgatók egy pillanatra elfeledhették a külvilág gondjait. Csak a zene volt. However, so far Plácido Domingo has only greeted the audience with a recording, he has not been able to attend the concert in person. It was a long-awaited encounter, like a family reunion. Looking at them, we wouldn’t even think there was a pandemic or that a pandemic rewrote our lives forever.
And that's exactly what the concert is all about. The performance at Dunakapu Square is a special gift. The Spanish tenor and his invited guests express their gratitude to all the health workers in the world, all those who saved lives and cared for patients with superhuman performance during the coronavirus epidemic.
Concert with classics
The two-hour concert will feature popular opera arias, musical and operetta, as well as zarzuela details and evergreen hits, including the main music of the Virtuosos, composed by Maestro’s son, Plácido Domingo Jr., who himself contributed to the concert.
In addition to Plácido Domingo, the 2017 winner of the Operalia International Singing Competition, soprano Adela Zaharia, and the age group winner of the fourth season of the Virtuosos, pianist Balázs-Piri Soma, will also perform.
